What do you like about where you live now?

The people are modest, the place is quiet and the landscape is raw.

When and how did you start surfing?

My earliest memories are riding on the front of my dad's surfboard when I was about 6 or 7 but I was fortunate enough to be in the ocean from when I was a baby.

Tube

Which one video would you highlight in this playlist and why?

I’d say I’d go with “Dancing in Dakar” purely based on the experience. We stumbled upon that wave in a little fishing village completely by chance. The session lasted less than an hour but to see that many kids appear over the space of a few minutes and hear the screaming, cheering and sheer joy and wonder of it all was something I’ll never forget.
